1. You.
I am currently seeking my Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration at the University of Florida. I have worked in banking
for 10 years and when our regular customers come in; some would want to tell
you what they have done since they were last in the branch. So listening became
second nature when I saw a regular come in. I feel that I am also a quicker
learner. I can usually complete a task after being shown once.
I want to manage the website and make sure the
telemarketers receive the list of the people who do not want to be contacted.

What are you offering to
customers?
I want to help stop unwanted telemarketing phone
calls. I want to collaborate with a currently unmanaged website to better
manage the list of people who don’t want to be contacted and make sure the
telemarketing companies have this list and enforce that they do not call the
people on the list.

Who are you offering it to?
This service is offered to anyone who is tired of
receiving those unwanted telemarketing phone calls.
No matter how many calls you have received you can sign up, there is no limit.
4.
Why do they care?
I am one of those affected by the unwanted calls. I
have personally added my name to the Do Not Call list and still receive
telemarketing phone calls. This is why I want to take over managing the website
to ensure the telemarketers know they are not allowed to call the people on the
list. I would also like to
enforce that they do not call the people on the list by implementing a fee or
fine that would have to be paid by the telemarketing company if they continue
to call people who are listed on the list.
5.
What are your core
competencies?
There is only one company that I can find that
offers this service. The service is not well managed though and I want to offer
a better management of the website.
I think this is a great service that is being
offered, but there is seemingly no follow through. To me this has been proven
since I added my name to the list and I still receive unwanted telemarketing
phone calls.
I believe this all fits together since the service will help
stop unwanted telemarketing phone calls.
With some of the feedback I received, it seems this service
will help people answer more calls since they will no longer have to worry
about receiving unwanted telemarketing phone calls.

ReplyDeleteI think its strange that there is only one website that offers this service and that they're not good at managing it. It would be great if you could improve this service. However, it might be difficult convincing people that your new service would be better than the current one. I think that fining the telemarketers for calling people on the no call list is a great idea. Great post!

ReplyDeleteSomeone actually told me recently that there currently is a penalty for companies who still call people off the do not call list. Apparently the amount of money they make from still calling people exceeds the penalty that they are given so it is still worth it to them. I am honestly not sure how credible this is but someone did tell me that so if you can find a way to stop this it would be awesome.
