Your Exit Strategy
28A – Your Exit Strategy
I plan to team up with an already existing website to better
manage it. I don’t plan on being there forever so I will start creating an exit
plan as soon as I begin. I heard that you always need to be working yourself
out of a job. So creating an exit plan from the very beginning will help me
immediately start working myself out of a job. Once we are able to set up a
system of getting the phone numbers to the telemarketing companies, I would
like to start training a more permanent person to run this website
I don’t want to manage this website for the rest of my
working career. Training someone from the very beginning to take over my job seems
to be the easiest way to transition me out of this job.
I didn’t really think about how I would get out of this
company until now, but for me it makes sense that I would need to train someone
how to do my job before I leave. If I start training from the beginning then my
successor will have all my knowledge about the company plus whatever they learn
while training and working on the website.
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI’ve also always heard that you always need to be working toward your exit strategy when it comes to business. It’s smart for you to start thinking about it from the beginning because you already know that you don’t want a future in the industry. If you start your exit strategy early on you can always improve upon it as your company grows.
