Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2
9A – Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2
Who: I think there are certain businesses that will not need
this service of blocking and/or stopping telemarketer phone calls. There are
even current cell phone users who won’t need this service with because they are
not old enough for their number to out there being sold or because they don’t
use their cell phones enough to justify adding it to a “Do Not Call” list.
What: This is only targeted towards telemarketing phone
calls. This will not stop calls from debt collectors or similar phone calls. Some
unwanted calls do need to be made.
Why: There is a difference between the outsiders and
insiders. Some of the outsiders are not old enough to justify a telemarketer
calling them because they can’t make decisions financially as to buy what they
are selling or not.

Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI love this idea honestly because I am one of the people who is constantly harassed by telemarketers. I am a private individual, so it does not hinder me so much to get these calls, but I can see how for a business it could harm their revenue stream by constantly having to answer calls thinking it is customers but instead it being telemarketers.
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of stopping these telemarketers from calling, but I think you should also take fake callers with malicious intent into account. These would keep teenagers still inside the boundary of people who need a solution. Even if they cannot make any real financial decisions, they can still be taken advantage of by callers asking for personal information.
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea. There is definitely an opportunity here because I'm sure most people, including myself, don't like receiving telemarketing calls because they can be annoying and inconvenient. Companies that use telemarketing would obviously be opposed, but I still think this is a brilliant idea because it can make people's lives so much easier.
