Sketching out the
Beginning of the Buyer Behavior
Each person that I interviewed has the need of wanting to stop the
unwanted telemarketing phone calls. Each person had a similar thought process
for trying to stop the calls. Several attempted to join the same website that I
did. A couple would block the phone numbers as they came in.
For need awareness
In all of my interviews, each person realized they had the need when
they started receiving the unwanted calls. Some of the people noticed there was
an increase in the calling, while others still only receive a few phones call
weekly.
Information search
A majority of the people I interviewed went to the Internet to search
how to stop the calls. The main answer, so they thought, was the website to add
your name to a ‘do not call’ list. A few did notice a drop in phones calls, but
it did not stop them all together. One interviewee found from a friend an 800
number to call each time she got the unwanted call.
I
think there is a need to make people aware that there is a website out there to
help stop unwanted telemarketing phone calls. At this time it’s not as
effective as it could be, getting the information out there that this could
help might help with the people receiving the phone calls.

ReplyDeleteYour opportunity is probably the one I believe would be the greatest benefit to people. I constantly receive these calls, and to be honest I did not know there was a list I could put my name on to stop receiving these calls. Now that I know there is a list I’m going to put my name and number on it.

ReplyDeleteThis really is an excellent idea because most people, if not everyone, receive these unwanted telemarketing calls. Even though the current method to reducing calls is not as effective as it could be, people definitely need to be made aware so that improvements can be made. I'm sure most people would like to see a reduction in the amount of unwanted calls they receive. Great idea and great post!
