Assignment 2A - Bug List

1.    Rush hour traffic on Archer Road
Why – Two hospitals are located at the end of Archer rd. With two large employers located across the street from each other, this causes a large number of people to all drive in the same direction during the rush hour times to get to work.

2.    Cell Phone not working
Why – Using a refurbished phone because I dropped my original phone.

3.    Long lines at Chick-fil-a during lunch.
Why – Many people go to Chick-fil-a during lunch. They seemingly all go around the same time. A large number of people like Chick-fil-a because they offer fast service.

4.    Wearing your dirty shoes inside
Why – This brings dirt inside which causes the floors to become dirty.

5.    Leaving the bathroom without washing your hands
Why – This can cause germs to spread that would have been killed if someone would have washed their hands.

6.    Indecisive people in a drive thru line
Why –Not knowing what you want by the time it’s your turn to order slows the line down.

7.    Running out of toilet paper
Why – No one paid attention that the toilet paper was running low or went to the store to get more.

8.    Not holding the door for someone.
Why – Some people do not pay attention to their surrounds so they don’t know there is someone right behind them when they enter a building.

9.    Car headlights not working
Why – The bulbs are blown. The lights aren’t turned off when not needed so they life of the bulbs are shortened.

10. Mowing the lawn twice in one week.
Why – Rain every day is causing the grass to grow faster than normal.

11. Road construction on I-75
Why – The roads needed to be updated because the roads were becoming unsafe.

12. Gas station pumps are all full
Why – There are not enough gas pumps for the number of vehicles needing to be refueled.

13. Mail carrier hanging packages on mailbox instead of delivering to door.
Why – The mail carrier doesn’t take the time to drive the package to the door. The mail carrier might not want to have to stop to get out of the mail truck.

14. Under cooked food
Why – The cook doesn’t take the time to make sure the food was fully cooked. The cook might have been to rushed.

15. People who tailgate or have road rage
Why – The driver has an underlying causing him/her to drive to close to the other driver.

16. Slow Internet
Why – The connection is not good. There could be a problem with the router.

17. Telemarketing calls
Why – Callers call to try to sell a product or service. The callers have a job to do and need to make a living.

18. People who chew with their mouth open
Why – People are not taking the time to completely close their mouths in order to chew their food.

19. Receiving junk mail
Why – This is another form of marketing. The company mailing the flyers are trying stay in business and make a sale for whatever they are advertising.

20. Having to wait so long at the doctor’s office.
Why – The person who makes the schedule doesn’t give enough time between patients. There also might have been another patient that took longer than planned which has now caused the remaining appointments to become behind.

Reflection:

This assignment was a little challenging because I had to really think to get to my 20 “bugs”. To finish my list I began to think about what might get on others “bug” list. I started thinking of my family and friends and what I thought might be on theirs. By going through different family and friends, I was able to finish my list of “bugs”.
